Happy New Year! I hope our families had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed the winter break! We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday. We are excited to welcome you back to a brand-new year filled with possibility. We are wishing everyone a joyful, healthy, and inspiring year ahead. Let’s make it our best one yet.
As we return from the holiday break, we’re excited to see our hallways buzzing with energy again. Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for making our school such a vibrant place to learn and grow.
We also so appreciate Coach Carey and Coach Candrian for planning an amazing field day and all of our volunteers! What a fun day!
Our students are getting ready for the 3rd marking period of the year. I appreciate your efforts in helping your child be present and on time for instruction this second half of the year so your children can reach their academic potential. I ask our parents to plan appointments and vacations around the school calendar, which is available on the district website at
www.ocps.net. Also, students should be at school no later than 8:40 AM, but we encourage arriving at 8:15 AM when the doors open. If they are not in their classroom by 8:45, they will be marked tardy. Also, patrols leave post at 8:40 AM and there are limited staff to help open doors between 8:40-8:45 AM. Please arrive early enough for your student to have time to walk to class.
Report cards will be going home soon. I encourage you to review your child’s progress and reach out to the classroom teacher to schedule a conference if you have any concerns. I appreciate you and all that you do to make Hamlin the best school in OCPS.
Best Regards,
Dr. Angela Murphy-Osborne
